Unspoken Encounter

This project is a space where we celebrate the meeting of two cultures. Here, a fusion of Mediterranean warmth and Nordic nature defines the space.

IDEA

The Unspoken Encounter is a Nordic-inspired property, a space designed to evoke a sense of shelter — a place to escape and disconnect, yet one that naturally invites the warmth of the outdoors into its light-filled interior. Much like the streets of central Torremolinos: full of music, life, and vibrant energy.

Inspiration

In the Mediterranean style, natural light takes center stage, maximizing the flow of sunlight throughout the space.

In the Nordic style, a clean and minimalist approach defines the interior, with functional, open layouts. Clean lines and neutral tones create a space that feels both spacious and calm.

As a base throughout the home we use stone in neutral tones, such as marble and travertine, which bring elegance. The wrought iron details and the plant decoration connect us with the authenticity of the Andalusian streets. The blue of the sea plays an important role and is present in various tones alongside a palette of neutral and sandy hues.

The color palette is selected in earthy tones and marbles. Natural materials such as wood, linen, and cotton bring warmth and elegance — every carefully considered element is functional and, at the same time, brings personality.

This project is rooted in a very special context: a home in Torremolinos, set within a building from the 1960s. It was during this time that the first Scandinavians discovered the magic of this Mediterranean enclave, where two worlds meet Mediterranean and Nordic.
